Blazer

reformation-blazer-1reformation-blazer-3reformation-blazer-2 The blazer of the season: it’s oversized but still slim, longer past the hips and in prints that are borrowed from the boys. Sign me right up!

What are your weekend plans? I’ll be spending some time with the Biossance team (more about that soon!), getting together with friends to kick off Halloween (Lucia and I carved our pumpkin already – roasted pumpkin seeds are the best!), and hopefully getting some much needed R&R. Hope you have a good one!

In Memphis

red-flats-1gingham-coat-1redflats-3 Let’s talk about the food in Memphis! In just 48 hours we:

  • devoured BBQ, the Memphis way, at Central BBQ (tasting everything from a plate of 3 meats and some sides, but the biggest surprise was the banana pudding dessert)
  • feasted on southern-style courses at Itta Bena above BB Kings Blues Club (I ordered the duck and waffles – really, duck and waffles!!)
  • ate sweet potato pancakes where Elvis used to frequent at the Arcade Restaurant
  • and had the best fried chicken at Gus’s Fried Chicken

I must be a southern girl at heart in some capacity, because BOY did those meals make me happy! Hope you’re having a wonderful week!

PS: One day sale – the super soft wrap coat and trousers in my previous post are 50% off! Plus everything else on site…!

Wrap

ann-taylor-fall-october-coat-pants-1ann-taylor-fall-october-coat-pants-2ann-taylor-fall-october-coat-pants-3 Happy Wednesday! The last 48 hours have been a blur… if you want to see what I’ve been up to, please see my Instagram Stories before it’s gone! Besides an inspiring tour of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, we also got a chance to experience Memphis food (BBQ! Fried Chicken! Sweet Potato Pancakes!). And a heartbreaking, humbling, and thoroughly educational walk through the National Civil Rights Museum. I was so moved by it all – I’m convinced that I need to return when Lucia is older to take her through the museum.

Back home now and I’m giddy with excitement waiting for the time when Lucia wakes up this morning so I can give her a giant hug and a million kisses.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
