La Liste

sezane-fall-la-liste-1sezane-fall-la-liste-2sezane-fall-la-liste-4sezane-fall-la-liste-3 Finally! The ultimate cool-girl Parisian brand, Sezane, has launched La Liste: a collection of timeless items they’ll be continually restocking on site. And they’re classic pieces so, of course, they are right up my alley:

  1. I have this ruffled blouse in ecru – it’s just as pretty in person and fits nice and slim throughout (usually in other versions I’ve tried the ruffles are pretty bulky)
  2. On my wishlist is this classic sweater (can’t decide between ecru or camel!). It has a slight puff sleeve and a luxe knitted patchwork style that makes it look more expensive than it is.
  3. I wore this denim jacket on the blog last week and also love it in olive.

I’m also a huge fan of their coats (remember this coat I wore last year? one of my favorite fall outfits from last year) – and the olive one I’m wearing today is just as good.

PS: I’m in Memphis for a quick 36 hours to meet the team at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and tour their campus – this has been a dream of mine for years!! I can’t wait to share more. Hope you have a wonderful Monday and thanks for stopping by!

Velvet

velvet-dress-holidays-3velvet-dress-holidays-1velvet-dress-holidays-2velvet-dress-holidays-4 I didn’t have an “occasion” for a dress when I found this lovely velvet one at Nordstrom (it’s only $148!), but funny how that works sometimes because soon after it was hanging in my closet my husband and I were able to enjoy a rare date night out in the city.

I’ve been pairing flats with everything lately, even dresses(!) because I love the laid-back, relaxed vibe it adds. My top picks for flats to wear with everything this fall:

  • Under $150: this rust-colored suede technically isn’t a flat with its .5 inch lift, but I love the color and the luxe details (they look more expensive than they are); this mule has an interesting cut and would look expensive and flattering (my pick is black or mushroom); this loafer comes in the most beautiful neutral camel suede and I love the slightly pointy toe.
  • Under $300: this black pair is so sweet and feminine, and reminds me of the Rochas version I had lusted after last year; this fresh loafer is also sweetened up, but with a bow;  this mule also seems to have a flattering cut, and in rose suede is unique and beautiful.
  • Over $500: this white loafer is a classic with a twist (in a fresh off-white); this is the black flat that will go with anything and can be both relaxed and polished at the same time (plus the red sole of course); and this gorgeous bordeaux velvet flat is what Fall dreams are made of (swoon!).
