Fall Investments

Lucia’s officially in pre-school and our summer is officially over. I read somewhere that in San Francisco and Tiburon we got only one day over 70 degrees during the entire month of August… although, I didn’t have to read it to believe it. We’ve already had our fair share of Fall weather but I don’t mind it one bit: Fall is my absolute favorite, and Fall clothes are too. Here’s a list of my top 3 things to invest in for Fall:

  1. A White Blouse – I wear my white blouses so often and Fall is a good time for a re-fresh (especially for silk ones). A basic white blouse is an essential, but this year I’m crazy over the ones with special details. I think this white blouse by Theory at Nordstrom is at the top of my list: it passes as a “basic” so you can wear it over and over again but the contrast stitching gives it a little more personality. It’s on my wishlist. More white blouses here.
  2. A Transitional Layer – A camel colored trench coat (still? yes!). I still think this is the most classic investment you can make. It’s lightweight enough for Fall and will go with anything. This one is the ultimate dream buy; this one is modern and fresh; and this suede version is SO good for the $180 price tag! More trench coats here.
  3. A Block Heel – There are so many great options for block heeled pumps right now and I’ve found myself only wanting to wear the trendy (and sturdier) heel. In suede, these Jimmy Choos are a classic (and these are similar for $140). More block heel pumps here.

Thanks for visiting!
