Velvet
October 13, 2017 Sponsored
I didn’t have an “occasion” for a dress when I found this lovely velvet one at Nordstrom (it’s only $148!), but funny how that works sometimes because soon after it was hanging in my closet my husband and I were able to enjoy a rare date night out in the city.
I’ve been pairing flats with everything lately, even dresses(!) because I love the laid-back, relaxed vibe it adds. My top picks for flats to wear with everything this fall:
- Under $150: this rust-colored suede technically isn’t a flat with its .5 inch lift, but I love the color and the luxe details (they look more expensive than they are); this mule has an interesting cut and would look expensive and flattering (my pick is black or mushroom); this loafer comes in the most beautiful neutral camel suede and I love the slightly pointy toe.
- Under $300: this black pair is so sweet and feminine, and reminds me of the Rochas version I had lusted after last year; this fresh loafer is also sweetened up, but with a bow; this mule also seems to have a flattering cut, and in rose suede is unique and beautiful.
- Over $500: this white loafer is a classic with a twist (in a fresh off-white); this is the black flat that will go with anything and can be both relaxed and polished at the same time (plus the red sole of course); and this gorgeous bordeaux velvet flat is what Fall dreams are made of (swoon!).
