Leopold’s San Francisco

It’s taken me a while to build a collection of SF restaurant experiences for the blog (others I’ve posted are here, here, and here).  Mostly because I tend to forget to photograph the food before diving in (hungry, you know!).  But I do usually dine with good intentions to take pictures… 🙂

This place turns away crowds of people nightly (2 hour wait, sorry!) and there’s typically a long line right as it opens at 5:30pm (even on the Sunday when we went a few weeks ago!).  It’s that good and that fun.  If you like German beer, they have Schneider Weisse, and you can even drink it out of a boot – straight out of Beerfest.  Which, for some, is good enough of a reason to go.

*Other delicious picks are the Braised Beef Short Ribs and the Choucroute Garni Platter.  Yum.
