Going Long
November 12, 2014
An extra long coat has been on my wish list since last year and I finally found one that fit the bill: a Loro Piana by Fleurette at Nordstrom. It’s going to be the winter stand-in for my lightweight Tibi trench (which I reached for over and over again this past Spring/Summer!). The camel color is absolutely timeless and it’s the softest, smoothest wool I’ve ever touched (hello, Loro Piana!). I’m debating hemming it just one or two inches though – what do you think?
Happy Wednesday!

Very chic and sophisticated look!

Chic outfit! I would hem it about two inches, so you show a little more leg. That will make you seem a bit taller with the coat on. 😉

Even though I am short I found a long black coat (Y’s) that is so tailored and I can pull off without getting lost. The secret to the success of your look (and I do not think you should hem it) are the heels you paired it with, which lofts the hem up and allows the view of your ankle which makes it just stop short of being too long.

That coat is so perfectly dramatic, it’s amazing. Don’t hem it! It is just the right length in my opinion! So polished as always.

I wouldn’t hem it… it’s very chic and current the way it is. If trends change next year, you can always hem it then.
Love this extra long coat. You look so tall. It’s a fabulous color.

The long coat makes the whole ensemble looks really cool and sophisticated! I think it doesn’t need to be hem if you intent to wear high heels with it.
