Good morning and happy Tuesday! With March in full swing, I recently switched up my nude nail polish color. I’d been wearing this one in “Simple Nude” for months on end: it’s a moodier nude, more saturated in color and perfect for Fall and Winter. I had also purchased another neutral polish at the same time, this one in “Tutulle,” but it sat unopened until recently. I’m glad I waited because it’s the perfect Spring nude: lighter and a very subtle hint of pink. I always do my nails at home (typically after Lucia goes to bed), so I splurge on my nail polish. Here are the tools I work with:
- this manicure set: it’s handy and perfectly confined in a zipper pouch; plus it’s relatively inexpensive so I don’t feel badly about replacing it every year. I’ve also seen this set and I’m definitely curious to see if it’s worth splurging for – haven’t done it yet.
- this nail file: simple, but again, it comes with its own case which works for me!
- this buffer block: it makes such a difference in the application of nail polish, so it’s a step I haven’t skipped since I discovered it a few years ago.
- this base and top coat set: goes along with the super luxe nail polish!
I haven’t gotten into cuticle oil or any other prep step – would love to hear your thoughts or tips/tricks! Hope you have a wonderful day!
