7:30am I am not a morning person, and I have never been. Still, I decided when I was young that figure skating was my dream, and subsequently there were many years of waking up at 5am to practice before school. Grueling. Nowadays, I sleep in as much as I can (or as much as Lucia will allow). Beauty routines are a little hit-or-miss, but I never skip my morning skin routine. After cleansing and before my moisturizer, I’ve been trying out Shiseido Ibuki Softening Concentrate for a boost in moisture, refined texture and a dewy finish, plus it enhances the benefits of my moisturizer.
10:30am By now I’ve spent some time at my computer, handling emails and getting ready for the day. Running off to a meeting, but not before grabbing some essentials.
1:00pm After lunch is right around the time where my skin doesn’t feel as fresh. I’ve been taking skincare to-go with me: Shiseido Ibuki Quick Fix mist. It’s a gel that sprays as a cooling mist, treating shine and day-worn skin for an instant refresher. Just a quick spritz or two and I’m feeling renewed while my makeup looks as fresh as it did this morning. A few more hours of work and I get to shift into “mom” mode – by now Lucia is practically begging to go to the park, so I put a pause on the workday and head out to play with her. I cook dinner at home and we start Lucia’s bedtime routine.
9:00pm With Lucia asleep for the night, I get in another hour or two (or three) of work. It’s a treat when I have time to watch a show, or relax with a book instead. But it’s always worth it, because having some late-afternoon time with Lucia is the best. After getting myself ready for bed, I’ve been trying out Shiseido Ibuki Beauty Sleeping Mask as the last step in my routine. It’s a leave-on gel that helps skin recuperate from the long day’s stresses. Plus if I’ve skipped a day of my evening routine, I feel like I’m giving my skin an extra boost when I do make time for it. Waking up refreshed, like I slept more than I actually did, is always a welcomed benefit!!
Thank you for visiting and thanks to Shiseido for partnering with me on this post!
