Three things that have helped bring me peace and or/pleasure lately (during a time that hasn’t easily been described as either):
- reading. stepping into someone else’s world, even if for a few pages at a time. the kindle has been helpful in getting instant access to books that have been sold out or that I’ve been too impatient to wait for.
- magnesium calm. recommended to me by my acupuncturist several months ago via phone to help with my trouble falling (and staying) asleep. it’s my nighttime tea.
- writing. write for a cause. write for yourself. write for your child. just write. getting it all out on paper feels productive, positive, optimistic.
